Privacy Policy

This policy explains how I, Amin Naserpour ("I", "me"), collect, use and protect personal information through aminnaserpour.com and my newsletter. I handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and where it applies, the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation.

What I collect

  • Your first name and email address when you join the newsletter or download a free resource.
  • How you use the site, such as pages visited, device, browser and approximate location, collected through cookies and similar tools, only if you accept them.
  • Where you came from: if you arrive through a tagged link (for example from a social media post), the site remembers that source in your own browser and adds it to your sign-up, along with the resource you requested. This helps me understand which content is useful.
  • Anything you choose to send me, for example when you reply to an email or contact me.

How I use it

  • To send you the newsletter and the resources you asked for.
  • To understand which content helps readers, and to improve the site.
  • To measure and improve my advertising, if you have accepted marketing cookies.

I do not sell your personal information.

Tools I use

These providers process information on my behalf and may store it outside Australia, including in the United States:

  • Kit (kit.com), for email and the newsletter.
  • Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics, for site analytics.
  • Hotjar, to understand how visitors use pages. Form fields are hidden from its recordings.
  • Advertising pixels from platforms such as Meta, Reddit, TikTok, Google and LinkedIn, to measure ads.
  • Cloudflare, which hosts this website.

Cookies and your choice

Analytics and advertising cookies only load after you accept them in the cookie banner. If you decline, the site still works. To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will appear again.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it. You can also ask me to access, correct or delete the personal information I hold about you by emailing support@aminnaserpour.com. If you are not satisfied with my response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Security and retention

I take reasonable steps to protect your information and keep it only as long as I need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires.

Changes

I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
